The image attached to HCPortal record 1201 is addressed to Mlle Madeleine Boucheron, grande-rue, Parigné-l’Évêque, Sarthe. It contains two lines of hyphen-separated numbers, followed by “Devine / de M.” in ordinary handwriting. The picture side is a cat illustration without a further message.
The catalogue shell describes a different recipient and route, so its date cannot safely be carried over to the pictured card. The circular cancellation shows 25 and 6, but its year is not secure. The address and the attached image are the evidence for this problem.
The rendering includes the complete private field and the open address. What do the number lines say?
Source rendering. Line breaks follow the evidence record; square brackets mark uncertainty.
